You'll LOVE your new DeadOn™ Impact Indicator AFTER you first condition the applicator tip.
The applicator has a large reservoir which supplies a large internal felt wick, and a 1 cm. wide tip. The wick is stiff, to make it easier to apply the Impact Indicator fluid, but the initial application is filtered by the stiff "chisel cut" tip -- therefore, the initial application is thin and the impressions are not as good as desired.
It is necessary for the tip be "roughed up" to break apart some of the tip fibers, to allow a good flow of the full-bodied fluid.
THEREFORE -- just rub the tip on rough sandpaper or other rough surface (which will leave a stain in wood or on fabric -- the DeadOn™ Impact Indicator film is made to stay on the hardened club face until struck against a golf ball, or wiped off the titanium or stainless steel surface). You may also "chip" the applicator tip against the club face a few times, to loosen the fibers, which allows better flow of the full-bodied fluid.
For your new DeadOn™ Impact Indicator, please do the following:
1. For a new club, CLEAN off the oils, waxes, polish, etc.
2. Remove the cap, and ROUGH UP the tip of the applicator.
3. APPLY a nice full coat of the fluid to the club face, which dries immediately.
4. HIT your balls. You can make multiple hits from a tee, and even play successive driver shots on successive holes, but, if your club face brushes against grass, or is rubbed by other club covers, etc., some of the application will be removed and the impact may not be seen.
5. WIPE OFF the club face. A damp towel or rag is fine, and, for a really clean surface, you may use some glass cleaner.
6. RE-APPLY as desired, etc.
7. HIT those GREAT SHOTS on the SWEET SPOT of your clubs, and REDUCE YOUR SCORE!
8. HAVE FUN playing this GREAT GAME OF GOLF!
